Microblading
Microblading is a technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows. This can last approximately 12-18 months. Pigment is finely tattooed into the skin with fine, short strokes resembling hair. A hand tool resembling a calligraphy pen is used. The best candidates for microblading are those who desire a fuller, more youthful eyebrow.
During your appointment, we apply topical numbing gel for 20 minutes prior to the procedure. Kathleen will take measurements, match pigments and start the procedure.
A microblade is used with different size blades to create wispy or thicker hair-like strokes. We use many colors of pigment to create hairlike appearance for non-existent or sparse brows.
An electric permanent makeup machine is used to implant more dense color for eyeliner, lip liner or lip blushing. There are different needle cartridges used for each area. A shading needle is used to create a shadow or lip blush.
Several different measuring tools are used to make perfect symmetrical placement of the eyebrows. A level type took with inked string is used to mark placement bilaterally. A caliper tool is used to measure the length and arch placement.
Eyeliner
Permanent eyeliner replaces the need to wear eyeliner each day. It is a method of placing pigment along the lash line, under the skin, similar to tattooing. The pigment is semi-permanent but recommended to be touched up every 1-2 years.
